Terms of Service

Last updated September 3, 2026

Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Assaf Yeredor and Omri Rainman, individuals residing in Israel who jointly operate PicShare (“PicShare”, “we”, “us”), and govern your use of the PicShare app and website — a private photo- and video-sharing app for shared albums (“spaces”). By creating an account or using PicShare, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use PicShare.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use PicShare. If you are under 18, you should use PicShare only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Some countries set a higher minimum age, or require a parent’s consent below a certain age, for services like PicShare. Where that is the case, you may use PicShare only if you meet that requirement.

We do not ask for your date of birth, so we cannot verify your age — we rely on the confirmation you give when you create an account. By creating an account you confirm that you meet these requirements, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you are not barred from using the service under any applicable law.

Your Account

You are responsible for your account, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe it has been accessed without your permission.

You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account — see Delete Your PicShare Account for the steps, and our Privacy Policy for exactly what deletion removes and what it does not.

Spaces

A space is a shared album. The person who creates a space is its admin. A space has exactly one admin for as long as it has members.

The admin of a space can invite people to it, approve or decline requests to join from people who have its invite code, remove members from it, delete any photo or clip in it — including content other members uploaded — and delete the space itself.

If the admin leaves a space, the admin role passes automatically to the member who has been in the space the longest. The same happens if the admin deletes their PicShare account. You cannot choose who it passes to.

Any member can leave a space at any time. When the last remaining member leaves, the space is deleted along with the photos and clips in it.

Deleting a space deletes its photos and clips for everyone, including content other members uploaded, and cannot be undone. It does not reach copies members have already saved to their own devices — see Copies Made by Other Members.

Having an invite code lets you ask to join a space; the space’s admin decides whether you are admitted.

Your Content

You keep ownership of the photos, video clips, captions, comments, and other content you share on PicShare.

To run the service we need your permission to handle that content. By uploading content you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store it, process and compress it, generate thumbnails and previews of it, transmit and deliver it to devices, keep it in technical and backup copies, and display it to the members of the spaces you share it in.

That licence is limited to operating, securing, and providing PicShare, and to nothing else. We do not use your content for advertising. We do not use it to train machine-learning models. We do not sell it or license it to anyone else.

The licence lasts while we host the content. It ends when the content is removed from active PicShare storage, except that it continues for as long as technical or backup copies of it still exist, until those are overwritten or expire in the normal course.

You confirm that you own or have the rights to the content you share, and that it infringes nobody’s rights.

Copies Made by Other Members

PicShare is private in the sense that your content is visible through the app only to the members of the spaces you put it in. It is not private from those members.

Members of a space can view, download, save to their own device, screenshot, export, and re-share what is in it — including into other spaces, and into apps outside PicShare. Only upload things you are comfortable with those members having.

Deleting content from PicShare removes it from the space and from our storage. It cannot recall copies that other members have already downloaded, saved, screenshotted, exported, or shared elsewhere. Those copies are outside the service, we have no technical way to reach them, and this licence does not cover them.

Content Storage and Deletion

We intend to keep the photos and clips you upload available in your spaces for as long as you use PicShare, and the service is built for that to be the normal case. Alongside that intention, three things need to be clear.

We may also have to delete content, or content may be lost, for reasons including:

We will not delete your content arbitrarily. Deletion by us happens for a reason of the kind listed above, or because you asked for it.

If we discontinue PicShare, you may lose access to the content stored in it. Where it is reasonably practicable we intend to give advance notice and an opportunity to save your content first — but we cannot promise a fixed notice period for every possible scenario, including one in which the service has to stop suddenly.

Acceptable Use

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on PicShare. You may not post, share, or store content that:

You also may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, spaces, or our systems; probe or test the security of the service; use an invite code to enter a space you were not admitted to; scrape or bulk-download content; interfere with or place unreasonable load on the service; or work around upload limits or other technical restrictions.

Reporting, Moderation, and Enforcement

Every photo and comment can be reported from inside the app — the flag button in the full-screen photo view, or a long press on a comment. You can also block any user, which hides their photos and comments from you and removes any friendship between you.

We aim to review reports of objectionable content and abusive users promptly, and generally within 24 hours — removing the content and suspending or terminating the account responsible where warranted.

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on PicShare infringes your copyright, email us at support@picshare.app with a description of the work, where the content appears in the app, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized, and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them. We remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes what information we collect and how we use it. By using PicShare you agree to the practices described there.

Service Limits

PicShare applies limits on how much and how large a file you can upload within a rolling period, to keep the service running for everyone. We may change those limits or add others. PicShare is free today; if we introduce paid plans we will say so before charging you anything.

Service Availability

We work to keep PicShare available and your content safe, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that content will never be lost.

How we handle storage, and the circumstances in which content may be deleted, are set out in Content Storage and Deletion above.

Content of Other Users

Spaces contain content uploaded by other people. We do not endorse it and are not responsible for it, and your dealings with other members are between you and them.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, photos, or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of PicShare, whether or not we were advised such damages were possible; and our total liability for any claim relating to PicShare is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. That includes your mandatory rights as a consumer under the law of your country of residence, and liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for wilful misconduct. Where such rights apply, the limits above apply only so far as the law allows.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you upload or share on PicShare, your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of PicShare, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

This does not apply to anything caused by our own breach of these Terms or our own wrongful conduct.

Termination

You may stop using PicShare and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the service, its users, or to comply with law.

Provisions that by their nature should survive — the licence as it applies to technical and backup copies, the position on copies other members have made, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — survive termination.

Apple App Store

If you downloaded PicShare from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us and not Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for PicShare; that Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, any failure to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection claims; that Apple is not responsible for investigating or resolving any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of PicShare.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, nothing here deprives you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding PicShare. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and we will tell you in the app if the change is significant. Your continued use of PicShare after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
